Problems needing to know about Printing in design

  • Detail

Problems that need to be understood about Printing in the design

1. Image

the image has the greatest impact on the printing quality. When some scanned images are used, the contrast will not be obvious when displayed in the computer, but it will be quite gray when printed

so be sure to check the contrast of each image very carefully before releasing the film

there are many specific inspection methods. Here is one:

in PS, press Ctrl + L to call up the color scale panel and look at the distribution diagram in the middle. If it is concentrated in the middle, if the pressure is not enough, it indicates that the contrast is poor. If it is concentrated on the left, it means it is too bright. If it is concentrated on the right, it means it is too dark

even distribution is the best

adjust according to specific needs

2. Channel

be sure to check each channel before leaving the film. This problem is mainly concentrated in PS, which does not exist in professional printing and typesetting software such as IA

check the distribution of ink in each channel to avoid inaccurate overprint

very small lines must be monochrome. If customers demand two colors at most, it is easy to have inaccurate overprint if four-color overprint

small text must be monochrome, which refers to CMYK. And we must use the way of positive stacking low to stack layers

when placing another color on a large area of background color, overprint must be adopted instead of overprint, otherwise the printing effect will be very serious

the above are three main problems, and there are also some small problems. Welcome to add

3. Bleeding

printing bleeding must be added when designing printing manuscripts. The bleeding standard is 3mm up, down, left and right, and the bleeding line does not need to be added

when designing, pay attention not to let the image and text content appear within the bleeding range, which is also an important problem before going out of the non forest

in folding design, there is no need to add bleeding in the middle

4. Post press processing

the post process mode should be considered in the design

take the design document bag as an example: (440 * 305 plus 10cm tongue)

the tongue of the document bag is printed together with the front, so when the height of the design document is 305 plus 3mm bleeding plus 10cm tongue, the total is 408mm, and the width is about 440 plus 3mm bleeding plus 7mm folding, the total is 460mm

it is better to add hem lines in the design

5. Requirements of various printing methods for design documents

generally, offset printing is dot printing, which is mainly used to print continuous tone images with a resolution of 300dpi, and the color mode adopts CMYK

large area color block and need to use field, mainly gravure printing, and it is best to use vector diagram design

the packaging printing adopts the resolution of 150dpi and the color mode is CMYK

the spray painting in the advertising room is 100dpi and the color mode is RGB

the distance between the outdoor spray painting visual advertisement and the observer can be adjusted. It is generally 45dpi and the color mode is RGB

6. How to reduce printing costs through design

at present, most printing plants use 4K machine printing, so putting several documents together in design can greatly save printing plate costs and printing workers. The printing fee is calculated separately. The price difference can even exceed 10% - 40%. The smaller the printing volume, the greater the price difference

so try to assemble your own documents (if there are multiple, and they are printed on the same paper) into 4K or split before going out of Feilin

7. Color following

some customers will provide the color on the previously printed finished product or the heat exchanger whose wind speed is too high to accelerate the surface of the test piece and the active air flow in the box. Other finished products need to be printed in a similar or the same color as before

before design, the printing tone needs to be determined according to the chromatography, and Pantone is generally used

then provide the sample to the printing factory during printing and instruct them to mix the ink according to this tone. Experienced printers can print colors that are almost the same as those of samples

there are also some daily problems. Welcome to discuss them together
